I grew up in an agnostic household. I didn’t believe in God or know much about Him other than what I got out of the Easter shows on TV. When I was 17 I met a group of kids at the park and was invited to join them in their picnic games. I didn’t know them. They didn’t know me. I was really impressed how they included me and were so very friendly outgoing and fun. They told me they were a youth group at a church in town and made a point of inviting me to join them in all their activities from then on. After about a year of having fun and making connections and learning about God, I decided I wanted to be like them. I wanted to have the joy and the certainty that I could do anything that their God led them to do. Things like asking a perfect stranger to join them at their picnic and introducing him to God through love and example. That is how I was led to Jesus and I thank God for that group of kids to this day.
