Messiah UMC connects with our local community through our members' daily lives. Local outreach support from Messiah includes:
• Financial support of Christ Among Neighbors and Mission Central
• Provision of free meals to the community the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month
• Participation in the local “blessing of the backpacks” providing school and personal supplies for local children

Messiah UMC has a long history of supporting missions locally and around the world. Some current mission involvement is through:
• Appalachian Service Project, a home repair ministry in Virginia, West Virginia, Kentucky, and Tennessee
• United Campus Ministry, Shippensburg University
• Mission Central
• Operation Christmas Child
